Environne'Tech, Emitech Group, initiated the "Bourgoin-Jallieu 2020" industrial project in 2017 with the expansion of its test center dedicated to equipment qualification and environmental testing. The new building, with a floor area of 800 m2 and a height of 10 m, was designed to accommodate tests on large specimens, such as aeronautical parts, complete vehicles or large installations, with dedicated equipment such as a 93 m3 climatic chamber, and very recently a new earthquake test bench, in addition to the existing equipment. With the "major refurbishment" project and after the Fukushima nuclear accident, the demand for earthquake tests has increased significantly and specifications have become stricter in many sectors. It is in response to this trend that Environne'Tech has decided to invest in specific equipment.

With test capacities multiplied by up to 5, Environne'Tech's new seismic bench can accommodate heavier and larger specimens compared to the existing bench. The new table has dimensions of 1200 x 1200 mm to qualify components. The seismic bench excites two axes simultaneously with a force of up to 150 kN, accepts a maximum on-board mass for the Ensemble spectrum of 3000kg and for the component spectrum of 500 kg.

It is intended for all types of equipment that must remain functional during and after an earthquake, as in the nuclear field: power plant safety equipment, control elements, racks, sensors, connectors, lighting, fittings and valves.
It also meets the needs of other markets requiring multiaxial stresses such as automotive, rail and aerospace.
The capabilities of the new bench complement those of the existing one. The benches allow complex implementations of hydraulic (pressurization and/or fluid circulation) or electrical (connection and monitoring of voltages, currents, temperatures, micro-cuts...) servitudes and instrumentation by various sensors (acceleration, displacement, effort...). The devices are tested under real operating conditions.
The addition of a second earthquake test bench offers Environne'Tech's clients more flexibility in their campaigns, in addition to doubling the capacity of the tests. The service offer is thus faster, and the deadlines considerably shorter.
