All-in-one self-contained screwdrivers arrive on the French market. Nomad Robotics offers the SD35 and SD70. Collaborative, autonomous and versatile are the main features of these solutions. They offer an all-in-one package.

In short, the SD35 and SD70 screwdrivers are :

  • Versatility thanks to automated tip changer
  • A patented safety system
  • Easy installation
  • Intelligent software
  • Short return on investment

Nomad Robotics, distributor of robotic solutions for industry, launches these robotic solutions.

The SD35 and SD70 are the new generation of stand-alone screwdrivers, revolutionizing the daily lives of many industries by eliminating repetitive and even dangerous tasks for employees.

The SD35 and SD70 screwdrivers are a concentrate of technology. Whereas most robotic screwdrivers require human assistance to operate, and offer more or less complete solutions, the SD35 and SD70 screwdrivers are totally autonomous. These solutions include software, an automatic bit changer and a foolproof safety system.

The software allows you to view and check production quality directly on-screen. No more missing screws or returned batches. Spin Interface provides unique connectivity by connecting and controlling the screwdriver, regardless of the robotic arm used.

The software provides high precision thanks to its simplicity and the various options that are important in production, such as final motor rotations, waiting time, screw lengths and much more. Production data will be saved for future needs, e.g. it is possible to use industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP.

The automatic bit changer makes these screwdrivers self-sufficient. Up to 6 different bits can be changed, saving time and making them highly adaptable to projects. It is complemented by a high-capacity 300cc automatic screw feeder that can feed up to 780 parts.

And thanks to its safety system, it can also be used for cobot applications. The system consists of a patented, high-performance safety sensor and a safety shield that protects employees from skin-piercing injuries.

Thanks to the SpinBridge interface, set-up is simple and operation easy. Automated screwdrivers are quick to integrate. They offer a host of options for adapting to different projects, such as the automatic bit changer. Automatic screw detection takes the worry out of screw breakage; the SD35 and SD70 warn you. Tight, complicated holes are a thing of the past, as the safety shield allows use in the finest of places.

Multicolored, audible signaling informs you of the status of the screwdriver and screw insertion. The robot can be started or a waypoint saved at the touch of a button. Hands remain free and safe as the screw is covered from pick-up to insertion. What's more, the SD35 and SD70 identify unexpected forces thanks to a safety sensor that immediately stops the robot. Employees stay safe, injuries are avoided and production is kept moving.

SD35 and SD70 screwdriver applications ?

These solutions can be adapted to every need. They can be used in all industrial sectors, including automotive, electronics, household appliances, logistics and many others. Two major applications, multi-purpose parts assembly and cobot use, help increase production.

Versatile parts assembly :

The SD35 and SD70 solutions provide fast changeover times and monitoring of screw insertion data. They check that each screw is inserted with the correct torque.

When the decision is made to automate, the importance lies in obtaining an agile production configuration for screw drive applications, having fast changeover times between processes and having a robotic system with Industrie 4.0 technology to collect, record and analyze accurate and reliable data to ensure production quality.

These screwdrivers avoid torque errors, increase production and reduce design time. They quickly teach new screw-driving tasks thanks to the online database, and provide a precise insertion rate thanks to 4.0 technology. They also facilitate the production of many parts in a row.
