In a dynamic market context where, for the first time in two years, the expected progress in terms of volume in the mechanical engineering industries is positive, INDUSTRIE Lyon promises to be the exhibition for the renewal of the sector.
Leading trade fair where all trades in industrial mechanics are present, INDUSTRIE Lyon is the only event that brings together suppliers, contractors, professional unions and representatives of the State.
In 2011, INDUSTRIE Lyon launched new products for exhibitors and visitors:
- by creating an information magazine for the show widely distributed in factories,
- by organizing a friendly Lyon d'Or award ceremony to promote innovative companies,
- by creating new meetings such as the CEPI (Carrefour des Equipements pour les Processes Industriels) or the new completely redesigned “subcontracting” area.
A booming market environment
The mechanical industries market is recovering with the increase in export demand. On the domestic market, the market is driven by the restart of the two-year cycle of renewal investments.
Among the sectors to be monitored, mechanical subcontracting, stamping-stamping and bar turning are making significant progress.
While order books are filling up more and more, the trend is increasing as we approach INDUSTRIE Lyon.
On the market side, the most dynamic sectors today are handling, construction and kitchen equipment, mainly for export. (Source FIM August 2010)
In addition, the website www.industrie-expo.com will be given a facelift. More practical and clearer, it will allow visitors to find more quickly:
the list of new products and services by exhibitor and by sector, nominees for the Lyon d'Or, the program of events, practical information on Eurexpo.
The Lyon d'Or 2011
The Lyon d'Or 2011 are evolving to better promote innovation and to optimize contacts and initiate real business relationships:
representatives of user sectors will join the jury to provide their point of view,
a friendly awards ceremony will be organized on April 5, 2011 for a wider promotion of the creativity of men and businesses,
enhanced communication will help visitors to better discover the awarded products and companies.
A new team at the service of INDUSTRY
Sébastien Gillet is appointed Director of INDUSTRIE, replacing Benoît Gauthier. Sébastien Gillet, 37, has spent his entire career organizing trade fairs. Since its creation, he has thus contributed to the success of the Carrefour des Fournisseurs de l'Industrie Agroalimentaire - CFIA - of which he has been the director for 4 years.
With this appointment, GL Events Exhibitions intends to implement synergies between its events dedicated to the industrial sector: to develop the quality of the services offered to participants, to enrich the content of events, and to increase commercial exchanges between professionals.
Benoît Gauthier will continue to help organize INDUSTRIE Lyon by monitoring institutional relations and contributing to the program of events and conferences at the show.
