Emerson has just bought from Sanmar Engineering the stake it held in the Fisher Sanmar joint venture, which had been operating for 18 years in the Indian market and achieved a turnover of 40 M $ (28 M €) in 2010. This transaction represents an investment of $ 135 million (sales made by the company, plus land buyback).
Thanks to the joint venture, Emerson Process Management has been able to firmly establish itself in the Indian market. As its name suggests, Fisher Sanmar focused on Fisher brand products, which merged quite a few years ago with Rosemount , then the group was strengthened with the acquisition of many companies specializing in process instrumentation. and was later renamed Emerson Process Management. The Fisher brand is about control valves, process controllers and all related services.
