Emerson Process Management continues its commitment to Profibus PA

It has long been known that Fieldbus Foundation and Profibus PA share field bus applications in process applications and most process instrument suppliers (sensors, valves, analyzers) offer both field buses on their products.
But before we get to that point, everyone has long preached for their chapel: to put it simply, Europeans had a soft spot for Profibus PA while Americans had a preference for Fieldbus Foundation. For example, The American Emerson Process Management,the world's leading process instrumentation company, has long been a staunch and exclusive supporter of the Fieldbus Foundation. Then reason prevailed, the company could not give up the applications made with Profibus PA, more and more numerous since the return of Siemens in the process controllers (especially with its PCS7).
Recently, Emerson Process Management announced that its iconic 2051 pressure transmitter will now be available in the Profibus PA version. It joinsThe many Emerson products already offered in the Profibus PA version: the Delta V process control system, amS asset management software, Fishervalve controllers, Rosemount process sensors and analyzers and finally The Coriolis Micro-Motionflow meters. Of course, the development of Profibus PA products does not call into question Fieldbus Foundation's long-standing commitment.
