Diaxys launches its new generation of wireless solutions, DXRFLOG wireless recorders

Always true to its innovative track, DIAXYS is now introducing its new generation of wireless products. Indeed, DIAXYS announces the upcoming release of its wireless recorders: DXRFLOG.

The major innovations of this new range lie in the way it operates, the security of the data transmitted and the opening of its protocol.

3 operating modes: supervision, datalogger or automatic

The DXLOG incorporates 3 modes of operation:

"Supervision" mode: measurements are made periodically and sent immediately to the supervisory system. The measurement period is adjustable from 6s to 12 hours.

Datalogger mode: the measurements are recorded in the internal memory of the DXLOG while waiting for the remotely uploaded telerever. The registration period can be set from 6s to 12 hours.

"Automatic" mode: As with the "supervision" mode, the measurements are sent periodically to the coordinator, but the DXLOG automatically switches to "Datalogger" mode if the radio frequency link with the coordinator is lost.

Two-way radio frequency communication

The DXLOG has the distinction of being able to communicate in two-way (it can both send its data and receive orders from the supervisor), which allows to modify remotely, and without manual intervention on the product, all its operating parameters. Here are the main ones:

The measurement period: measurements are made and recorded according to this period.

The period of the radiofrequency link: this is the "heartbeat" of the DXLOG. The DXLOG periodically sends a radio frequency link to inform the supervisor of his state of operation and also to recover the pending orders in the coordinator (to optimize its autonomy, the DXLOG is not always listening).

The sending period of this radio link is adjustable between 6s and 12 hours.

How it works: Supervision / Datalogger / Automatic

Triggering the transfer of data stored in the Datalogger memory.

This feature greatly expands the possibilities of using the DXLOG since it allows to program specific operating cycles, for example: supervision during the day / datalogger at night, automatic recovery of the Datalogger every Monday morning, increase in the number of measurement points over a given period, etc.

Data guarantee with Recovery mode

The reliability of a wireless network is strongly linked to the environment in which the hardware is installed, but this environment is often bound to evolve over time: it is not uncommon for wefts to be lost due to one-off obstacles that disrupt the path of radio frequency waves.

This is why the DXLOG incorporates a buffer (called "Memory Recovery") that allows measurements to be recorded until the coordinator has received them; these are then automatically transferred to the coordinator when the radio link is effective again.

To prevent the network from saturating, Recovery mode is limited to 50 lost frames. Beyond that, the DXLOG automatically switches to datalogger (automatic mode): it will then require an explicit request from the supervisor to retrieve the data.

Lockable keypad

The DXLOG incorporates 3 buttons that make it easy to set up operating settings. However, to avoid non-consensual changes, this keyboard can be locked and unlocked with a password.

Simple to integrate on an automaton or PC

The G3 coordinator recovers the values transmitted or recorded not the DXLOG through the Modbus RTU communication protocol. It is a completely open and standardized protocol that facilitates the integration of the solution to a PC, an automaton, or even an existing GTB or GTC. All DXLOG features are accessible via standard Modbus 3, 4 and 16 features available in all Modbus automatons.

About Diaxys: Diaxys is a young French company specializing in measurement applications with radio transmission. It offers comprehensive solutions ranging from sensor to supervision, with radio communication gateways at the climax. The applications are varied and varied: monitoring the environmental conditions of buildings, monitoring of civil engineering works (dams, bridges, locks, etc.), instrumentation of isolated industrial equipment for remote monitoring, monitoring of fluids and energies in buildings, etc.
