Yokogawa has just sold its memory testing business to South Korean company DHK and is withdrawing from the market for other semiconductor testing activities. This operation to disengage from the semiconductor test business, which is in deficit, is part of the restructuring of the group's activities, decided in 2009.
This divestment ipso facto strengthens the booming Industrial Automation and Control business. On the other hand, it weakens the "Test and Measurement" division, which includes recorders, acquisition systems and electronic measuring instruments (multimeters, power meters, etc.).
