Honeywell announces the acquisition of Saia Burgess Controlspreviously owned by Johnson Electricbased in Hong Kong. The transaction, which will take effect at the end of January, is worth 130 M$.
With this acquisition, Honeywell strengthens its building automation division, particularly in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Saia Burgess Controls specializes in infrastructure control and energy management (ventilation/air conditioning, in particular). It offers programmable controllers, control screens and meters.
Sales of Saia Burguess Controls for the last fiscal year (ended March 31) were 93 M$, with a workforce of 300. The company will be integrated into the ECC (Environmental and Combustion Controls) division ofHoneywellwhere it will be joined by other well-known brands in building automation, including Alerton, Centraline, E-MON, Trend, Novar Controls, Phoenix Controls and Tridium. Honeywell ECC equips around 150 million homes and over 10 million commercial and industrial establishments worldwide.
