Part of France Robots Initiatives announced in March 2013 by the Minister of Productive Recovery, the ROBOT Start SME project is supported by the Symop, Union of Production Technology Companies, with the help of Cetim and Cea List.

It is to help 250 SMEs to introduce a first robot into their business. With this in mind, experts will help the entrepreneur define his robotics project and establish the specifications for consultation. After acceptance of the project by a steering committee, these same experts will help the company to choose an integrator and prepare for the installation of the robotic cell.

The ROBOT Start SME project is looking for about 25 experts with the following profile:

  • Confirmed experience in the field of process automation/robotization in SMEs;
  • Great listening ability to help the business leader define and implement his project;
  • total independence from robot manufacturers and integrators;
  • compliance with the ROBOT Start SME experts' charter.

The expert fee will be 900 Euros HT per day, including regional travel costs. The terms and conditions will be specified during the training.

CV and cover letter can be sent before April 30, 2013 to: [email protected]

The selection process will be conducted by the project steering committee in early May 2013 and the candidates' abilities will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Industrial strategy in an SME environment;
  • Skills engineering;
  • external/internal communication;
  • drafting specifications;
  • Economic modelling;
  • homogeneous distribution of experts at the national level.

Pre-selected candidates will be received at symop on May 13 by the steering committee.
