Hexagon AB has announced the acquisition of Vero Software, a software company for computer-aided manufacturing and design (CAO/FAO).
Based in the UK, Vero software is a software company with a strong reputation and a strong customer base. The company generated revenues of approximately $80 million in its last fiscal year. Their software helps with the design and manufacturing process with solutions for machine tool programming and control, and thus meets the ever-increasing challenge of combining manufacturing efficiency with high-quality production.
This acquisition strengthens Hexagon's software offering and closes the gap between providing fully actionable data while extending the scope of the recent development of MMS (metrology planning software) to include CAM (production planning software). "With its unique range of manufacturing software solutions, Vero Software has the expertise, knowledge and resources to deliver even higher levels of productivity to our customers,"said Hexagon President and CEO Ola Rollen. Building on our global presence, the synergies of our combined technologies advance our strategy to support our customers' growing need to integrate data and processes across the entire manufacturing lifecycle."
