28 years ago, in 1987, Cetim inaugurated its first polymer and composite pilot workshop in Nantes. Today, the Carnot-accredited Institut technologique de mécanique is inaugurating the pilot line and its patented QSP module for the industrial production of thermoplastic composite parts, on the Technocampus Composites site in Bouguenais near Nantes..
This launch is based in particular on work carried out within the joint Comp-Innov Openlab laboratory, formed with École Centrale de Nantes, Université de Nantes, École Nationale Supérieure de Cachan and CNRS. It also follows on from the innovations presented over the past two years.
Today, the QSP module (Quilted Stratum Process) enables us to produce ready-to-use mechanical parts in composite materials in just two minutes, at optimized cost and performance. With the " Quilted Stratum Process "France now boasts the first automated pilot line targeting the needs of the automotive and aeronautics industries, as well as wider applications in the entire mechanical engineering sector: agricultural machinery, handling/lifting equipment, heavy goods vehicles...
