Industrial vision: a compact camera that performs like a PC

Cognex introduces the In-Sight Micro 8000 series smart cameras, a new range of ultra-compact standalone vision systems. The In-Sight Micro 8000 series displays a performance of cutting-edge vision tools at PC speeds, all in a traditional GigE Vision camera format.

Like all In-Sight vision systems, these new models include the powerful In-Sight Explorer software. This software combines EasyBuilder's simple step-by-step installation with the power and flexibility of displaying the spreadsheet for control. In addition to Paax RedLine technology, the In-Sight Micro 8000 series uses these proven In-Sight vision tools at speeds that previously required a powerful PC. All contained in a case the size of an industrial image camera.

The In-Sight Micro 8000 series measures only 31mm x 31mm x 63mm. It includes Ethernet cable power, which reduces wiring and makes these vision systems the ideal solution for integration into small spaces on hard-to-reach robots and machines. They can be deployed anywhere on the production line for guidance, inspection, measurement and industrial identification applications.
