Erpro Group today announced the first partnership with the 3D printer manufacturer Carbon in France, following the installation of a Carbon M2 3D printer.
“ 3D printing technology, which was initially exclusively a rapid prototyping solution, has evolved a lot over the past ten years ,” explains Quentin Bertucchi, R&D Process engineer. Today it offers a number of manufacturing applications, but that's just the start. In terms of speed and cost, today it is possible to produce large volumes of parts competitively compared to traditional production methods. The quality of materials and repeatability are also key factors that consolidate our objectives to carry out more large-scale projects . "
An essential advantage of this partnership is that Erpro Group will benefit from direct access to Carbon experts, who will work closely with the company to optimize the use of M2 in a multitude of sectors, from automotive to medical in passing through luxury packaging and jewelry.
Erpro Group will also have access to the latest material developments from Carbon: Erpro 3D Factory is already working with EPU 40, a material of unparalleled elasticity and resilience. Its tear resistance, energy return and elongation make it an ideal material for damping, shock absorption, vibration isolation, gaskets and seals. RPU 70 is also an extremely rigid ABS-like material that provides the performance capabilities required for demanding production applications.
“ We are delighted to be Carbon's first production partners in France ,” continues Q. Bertucchi. The company's advanced technologies and materials will allow us to offer our customers a more diverse range of 3D printing solutions than ever before for mass production projects. We will be able to push production reliability, benefit from high performance materials and accelerate our productivity. The print speeds we get with the 3D printer are phenomenal and the materials offer a truly impressive surface finish. For our customers, this means that we can now 3D print high quality finished products in very short turnaround times . "
With twenty years of experience in the field of additive manufacturing, Erpro Group has made a name for itself by carrying out several prestigious large-series 3D printing projects. This notably includes a recent partnership with Chanel, in which Erpro 3D Factory manufactures “Le Volume Révolution de Chanel”, the first mascara that has a 3D printed brush, marketed on a large scale. A concentrate of innovation that allows Erpro 3D Factory to produce 50,000 3D brushes in 24 hours, or 1 million mascaras per month.
