Zeiss and Bosello High Technology (Bosello) announce that the Italian provider of solutions for industrial X-ray systems, is now fully part of the Zeiss group and will operate under the name Carl Zeiss X-ray Technologies Srl.
In 2018, Zeiss acquired a majority stake in Bosello to strengthen its X-ray portfolio for customers with a demand for 2D inspection as well as new line tomography solutions for the production environment.
With Bosello's specific solutions, Zeiss has taken an important step towards its goal of becoming a provider of integrated solutions in measurement and non-destructive testing technologies for industry and research. As expected, Zeiss has now acquired the remaining shares, making Bosello a full member of the Zeiss Group, which is also reflected in the new name of the company.
Dr. Jochen Peter, Member of the Board of Directors of the Zeiss Group and Head of the Industrial Quality Solutions segment, explains: “When we acquired a majority stake in Bosello in early 2018, our aim was to be able to respond even more effectively to the needs. individual customers by continuing to develop and expand the product portfolio. We are pleased that with the acquisition of the remaining shares, we can now complete this step and fully integrate our colleagues into the Zeiss family. "
Managing Director Fabio Bosello adds: “As part of the Zeiss Group, we have new opportunities to further develop our systems. Together, we can now provide more customers in research and development and in new markets with X-ray solutions that exactly meet the requirements of their respective applications. "
The existing Bosello product lines will remain, but will be adapted to Zeiss' harmonized design in terms of appearance and function, jointly developed and equipped with new functions. For easier identification, products will continue to have “Bosello” in their name. New joint developments such as the Zeiss VoluMax F1500 thunder system will meet customer needs that go beyond the current portfolio.
