The latest Capture update offers a number of application tools for field use of all-point focusing methods (FTP, or TFM)..
Eddyfi Technologies has announced the release of version 3.2 of its Capture data acquisition and analysis software. Capture, now renowned for its intuitive user interface, is available on Gekko, Mantis and PC equipment.
Since 2013, this software has been constantly evolving, offering users the technological advances most relevant to their business. By taking into account the needs of the market and the most demanding customers, Capture provides access to the most high-performance ultrasound imaging techniques in a streamlined, intuitive interface.
With over eight years' experience in the use of all-point focusing (FTP, or TFM for Total Focusing Methods), Capture 3.2 offers a complete suite of TFM tools and options, including multi-mode, multi-probe and multi-group functionalities.
As most inspections have to be carried out on both sides of the weld, these new additions enable technicians to use "classic" procedures with multiple multi-element probes (PAUT) simultaneously, while benefiting from the high resolution, sizing performance and productivity gains offered by TFM. This update enables users to stay one step ahead, while complying with current standards and codes. The TFM has in fact been introduced into the ASME code in 2019, and the ISO standard is in the final stages before publication.
Capture 3.2 also introduces graphical and dynamic control configuration tools for TOFD, PAUT and TFM methods. These intuitive parameterization tools ensure optimized zone coverage and compliance with best practice rules. New analysis functionalities complete this release. The creation of reports with completed indication tables is now fast and automated.
As the first NDT manufacturer to offer a portable PAUT instrument with TFM, Eddyfi Technologies continues to lead the technological revolution with enhanced performance and the assurance of reliable inspections.
