On April 7, 2022 at 11 a.m., the Institut de Soudure group will inaugurate its new center in Niort, in the presence of Antoine Legros, Chairman of the Institut de Soudure group, Séverine Suk Leroy, Director of Southwest Operations, Jérôme Baloge, Mayor of Niort and Chairman of the Communauté d'agglomération du Niortais, Pascal Duforestel, Regional Councillor for Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Olivier Poiraud, Departmental Councillor for Deux-Sèvres.
Active in the Niort area since 2014, the Institut de Soudure group aims to continue its development in the region to meet the demands of manufacturers in a wide variety of sectors.
With a new 500 square meter building, the Group will be able to train a growing number of young people, jobseekers, temporary workers, people undergoing retraining and salaried employees, in the welding, pipefitting and thermal engineering trades. These are short-staffed professions whose skills are highly sought-after by industry. With 12 new welding booths, the group can train up to twenty trainees simultaneously. Over 90 of the % trainees trained go on to find long-term employment.
A major player in professional integration throughout France, the Insgtitut de Soudure group in Niort offers training courses leading to the "Certificats de qualification paritaire de la métallurgie" (CQPM) or "Preparations opérationnelles à l'emploi collectives" (POEC). These almost always guarantee access to employment in our professions. Work-study courses are offered and set up every year, such as CQPM Pipefitters and CQPM Welders.
Operational since November 2021, the new center brings together the Group's key activities to meet the needs of SMEs and major groups: training, regulatory inspection under the auspices of the Association pour la sécurité des appareils à pression (Asap), second and third-party inspection, and industrial welded equipment testing.
