Exhibiting at Expoprotection 2022, HTDS announces in preview the commercialization of a new versatile baggage and small package inspection system for the detection of explosives, narcotics and threats: Orion 920CX RX scanner.
Developed by Rapiscan, and marketed exclusively in France by HTDS, the new Orion 920CX X-ray scanner is an innovative versatile X-ray inspection system with exceptional image quality and excellent explosives, narcotics and threat detection capabilities.
Indeed, the "4-color SP4 spectrum" option offered in addition to the classic 4-color version offers the Orion 920CX a superior image quality that allows fast, efficient and secure identification of threats, while streamlining throughput and maintaining optimal security.
In addition, this inspection system has the particularity of being equipped with a high-performance X-ray scanner, a tunnel size of 620 mm by 420 mm and a conveyor ranging at a speed of 0.2 m/sec to 0.35 m/sec and capable of supporting up to 165 kg of loads.
With its many advantages, the new Orion 920CX can be used advantageously in many control applications, including the following cases:
• Airport inspection solution (screening inspection station)
• Event security
• Inspection for hotels, museums, prisons, customs, banks, companies, cruise ships, ...
• Loss prevention
At the technical level, the new Orion 920CX inspection system brings significant advantages:
. Better resolution and discrimination of industry materials
. Advanced detection of explosives and narcotics
. Improved low-density image quality
. Possibility of networking and remote viewing
At the practical level, and in order to help the operator quickly identify organic matter, the system is equipped with a Dual Zeff function that allows:
• In Range mode, highlight areas based on Z efficiency values of 7, 8 or 9 selected by the operator
• In Interactive mode, to give the operator the possibility to display the number of efficiency Z of a selected pixel
To optimize control operations, the Orion 920CX scanner features two modes, Target and NarcScan, developed to detect a wide range of explosives and narcotics in real time during the inspection process by signaling a potential threat to the RX image. Rapiscan Systems' detection algorithms are based on material analysis techniques approved by regulatory authorities.
Finally, the performance of the 920CX complies with the mandatory regulation (EC) No. 300/2008, implementing regulation (EC) 1998/2015 and update 815/2017, implementing decision of the EC No. 8005/2015 and update 3030/2017 for aviation security in the European Union.
