CCS PRIMA4 was immediately adopted and integrated into production chains as soon as it appeared in the 2010 E-catalog.

CCS PRIMA sensors, flagship products of STIL's CCS “Point” sensor range, are now available in a 4-channel or 2-channel multiplexed version under the names CCS Prima 4 and CCS Prima 2 . This innovative technology makes it possible to instantly switch from one measurement taken from an optical pen to another without any manual operation.

The CCS Prima 4 accepts up to four input rods and, with a single box, allows you to benefit from both a multiple measurement range and / or multi-point measurements on the same sample thanks to the switching speed. The CCS PRIMA2 version, available very soon, accepts one or two pencils as input.

The advantages of a multi-channel sensor are:

  • The sequential measurement of several optical pencils mounted in a fixed position on automatic and semi-automatic inspection machines. A single CCS PRIMA 4 cabinet can, under these conditions, replace 4 conventional CCS PRIMA , which provides an obvious economic advantage.
  • Simultaneous use of the wide range of STIL optical pencils (distance, measurement range, lateral resolution, etc.). The profilometer type measuring stations can be fully automated thanks to a motorized tool changer requiring no manipulation whatever the type of sample to be measured.
