The new CEO of Tecnatom-Metalscan in France is Bruno Lebrun. A specialist in non-destructive control (NDT) for more than 15 years, Bruno Lebrun was in the industrial division of Olympus NDT based in Quebec before joining Metalscan in 2011.

The former expatriate, whose knowledge of steel and industrial production has greatly benefited the company, is tasked with defining Tecnatom's overall strategy - Metalscan: international expansion, the development of aeronautics markets that requires significant NDT for the ultrasound of materials and the engine composite markets as well as the creation of new product portfolios.

With a view to expansion and consolidation, the company moved in April to a new, larger premises (with nearly 3,000 square meters) near Chalon sur Saône. In this way, it wishes to consolidate its role as an actor and reference provider for the ultrasound NDT. At the heart of this challenge is the research and development department, which guarantees the mastery of the complete chain (acoustic, mechanical, computer, electronic) of the study of a solution to the realization and manufacture of ultrasonic control products and the production of the most productive, robust, stable and innovative ultrasonic inspection systems.
