These new small modules (business card format) are positioned as powerful ultrasonic measurement tools adapted to on-board ultrasound applications. They allow industrial or laboratory professionals to perform measurements and detect defects more quickly.

Depending on the needs and constraints of users, the module family adapts to all types of applications: thickness control, detection of defects in welds, porosity research or composite delaminage.

The "Family 110" meets the needs of pipe/tube/plate inspection, process tracking, height work and U.S. mapping (manual or automated carrier).

These tools have their place in research centres and training centres: simple practical work to set up, calculation of Young's module, data export, Fourier transformation, wave filtering or algorithm integration.

The technical features of the 110 family are:

  • Generator 260 V, bandwidth 22 MHz, 100 MHz 12-bit scanning,
  • Echo or transmission mode,
  • Viewing A, B or C scan,
  • Two to four encoders,
  • Bras X-Y or R interface - Ɵ,
  • Synchronization of several modules possible,
  • XP/ Windows 8 / Seven / MacOs and Linux compatibility,
  • Availability of a DLL (Dynamics Link Library).
  • Multi-module synchronization function.
  • Connection port USB ou Ethernet.

The UTC-110 module is optimized to reduce the size of the case. The system is now capable of working in echo or transmission mode and has a bandwidth of 22 MHz. The speed of handling and the IP65 nature of the case allow the UCT-110 to accompany users in the most difficult environments faced by industry or defence environments (work environment or production environment in wetlands or in contact with water in large quantities). Several UTC-110 modules are also synchronisable to each other.   Application: TOFD control on manual or automated carrier.

The 110-LAN system is operated by an Ethernet Gigabit port which gives it the ability to deport its ultrasonic generator more than 100 m from the computer. The Ethernet link (1000 Base-T, 50 MB/s) allows all A-scans to be stored, even at high measurement speeds. Application:   integration on robotic arm for thickness measurement during metal machining.
