Identifying the state of operation of a sensor becomes ideal with WIKA's new IO-Link pressure sensor: the A-1200 has a 360-degree visible light indicator. Overpressure, power failure, etc.: depending on the green, yellow or red colors, the device that manages its own internal diagnosis indicates, respectively, whether it is working properly, in critical condition or in error mode. In addition, there is a blinking location function to identify a sensor on equipment, which greatly facilitates the management and maintenance of instruments.
The A-1200 has PNP/NPN switching thresholds and the trigger values of these and other instrument diagnostic settings and functions are managed remotely (measurement ranges from -1 to 1000 bar) thanks to the IO-Link. In the case of use without IO-Link, the sensor can be preset in the factory or by the user with the Teach option.
The A-1200 is very compact and can fit easily on all equipment. A version with an all-stainless steel (316L) case designed to withstand shocks of up to 1000g (at the electric connector) exists, or a version that can withstand extreme process temperatures of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius.
The A-1200 also knows how to adapt to the nature of the fluid if it is viscous (extended process connection up to 12mm) or to an application with pressure spikes (process connection shrunk to 0.6mm).
