Developed by Dylog and distributed in France by HTDS, the Dymond 80 X-ray scanner has been designed to detect contaminants that may enter pre-packed or bulk packaging, such as thermoformed trays, plastic bags, pouches, aluminum foil pouches, cardboard boxes, and so on.
The Dymond 80 X-ray scanner is particularly well-suited to the inspection of food products, with an inspection unit that combines extremely high detection performance with Dylog's powerful, intuitive new software.
A compact, high-performance solution with inspection speeds of up to 70 m/min, the Dymond 80 RX scanner offers both reliability and ergonomics, and sets new standards in X-ray detection.
An inspection solution with new features
The result of numerous collaborations with leading food groups worldwide, the Dymond 80 Bulk scanner features a flexible, ergonomic human/machine interface for fast, easy handling.
Thanks to the Lynceus software developed by Dylog, the Dymond 80 Bulk scanner can detect even the slightest variations and perform contaminant detection at the highest level of today's technological capabilities.
With the Dymond 80 Bulk scanner, it is possible to carry out tests with virtual contaminants by comparing real-time performance with the required performance of standard machines using a virtual contaminant database.
The Dymond 80's certified, non-destructive X-ray technology is capable of detecting a wide range of contaminants such as metal, glass, stone, bone, seafood shells, ceramics and certain plastics (such as PVC, Viton, etc.), through all types of packaging, whatever the size of the product being analyzed.
In addition to the functions for detecting non-conforming products, missing products or foreign bodies already present in the previous version, the latest version of the DymonD 80 scanner integrates new functions:
- Weight verification: weighing function for high-precision estimation of the weight of each product and rejection of underweight products
- Multi-layer analysis: multi-level image processing using more complex algorithms to determine the missing product in a multi-layer packaged product.
- Multi-line inspection: inspect up to 8 lines on the same conveyor simultaneously
- Testing with virtual contaminants: comparison of real-time performance with the required standard machine performance, using a virtual contaminant database.
- Networking capability
Last but not least, a dual-energy version of the DymonD 80 is now available, making it possible to search for less dense and more sensitive foreign bodies in certain applications.
