APOMNISCAN ® X3 MULTI-ELEMENT ULTRASONIC FAULT FINDING SAMPLE Get the most out of your inspection
OmniScan flaw detectors have long been recognized as the best bet for ultrasonic phased array inspection of welds. The X3 sets itself apart even more from the rest because of the many additional benefits it offers, such as the configuration, imaging and analysis tools it comes with that make weld inspection easier.
Complete inspection configuration directly in the device without having to use a computer
Quick and improved calibration
Improved image resolution and accurate representation of defect geometry with TFM imaging supporting multiple propagation modes
Standard configuration of the O / R connector allows the use of larger openings using dual linear array probes
The OmniScan X3 flaw detector excels in a wide range of weld inspection applications, including the following:
Structures in service or under construction
Hoses for industrial use
Corrosion resistant alloys and coated materials (austenitic alloys, nickel alloys and other coarse grain materials)
Combination of various techniques for full coverage and improved efficiency
Whether you use automated, semi-automated, or manual scanning methods, the OmniScan X3 supports a variety of ultrasonic inspection techniques. In some cases, it is even possible to combine several techniques for the same scan in order to increase the probabilities of detection and to facilitate the identification and measurement of indications.
Improved TOFD experience
The simplified interface of the TOFD (time-of-flight diffraction) function reduces the number of steps required to perform acquisition and analysis. Calibration is performed within a single TOFD menu, which ensures easy access to all necessary commands.
Analysis and data management tools for weld inspection
For comparison purposes, the OmniPC ™ software displays in parallel on the same screen the two images of the scans taken on both sides of a weld, making it easier to characterize the indications.
The main toolbar of the OmniPC software provides instant access to the commands most used during analysis.
Designed for demanding environments
Clear, brilliant images displayed on a large 10.6-inch WXGA display
Sensitive touchscreen even when wearing gloves, working in the rain or using couplant
IP65 certified (waterproof and dust proof) and tested for drop resistance
Compatible with Olympus probe separators and accessories
