How has a culture of forward-thinking innovation enabled Eddyfi Technologies to be at the forefront of innovation in the market with the Floormap®X, the latest solution for storing tank inspection?

Eddyfi Technologies owns what Stuart Kenny, managing director of the Silverwing product line, describes as "a great culture between great people who work together brilliantly, operating in six different key locations around the world, each with its own area of expertise." Matthew Boat, Product Manager, agrees, adding that "it's a very progressive, fast-moving company with great ideas — that's why the systems we make are so exciting. And no matter where you work in the world, the big boss knows your name and you always feel valued." Eddyfi Technologies has grown rapidly (and continues to do so). As part of this expansion, it acquired Swansea-based Silverwing six years ago. "Silverwing has a great traditional name that stands for quality. Then Eddyfi Technologies brought with it several research and development resources and a large international sales force," says Stuart. Eddyfi's Floormap technology was developed thirty years ago, and the latter incarnation, the Floormap®X, has been in development for three years. These three years have been a labour of love, says Stuart: "It may seem like a long time, but it's really not a chore when you're passionate about what you're doing. We love this industry."

The all-new multi-technology storage tank fund inspection solution

EddyfiTechnologies'Floormap ® X is the only multi-component MFL (magnetic flow leak) tank bottom scanner that has unprecedented efficiency and the ability to tackle almost all tanks. In fact, it is the number one solution in its class to provide accurate mapping of reservoir bottoms and non-mapping reports in the most efficient way. In simple terms, it finds small defects and allows immediate action, which allows for longer inspection intervals. According to Eddyfi, the Floormap®X's improved detection and resolution capabilities combine with its overall efficiency and improvements in coverage to complement advances in ergonomics, battery management, integrated lighting and raw magnetic power to help many customers around the world convert to the new model and provide a modern and sophisticated inspection tool for inspecting all storage tanks. Floormap®X offers an unmatched probability of detection - including in the critical area - and can handle the plates and thick coatings brilliantly. It incorporates Eddyfi's patented STARS technology, which allows corrosion discrimination from top to bottom, and can be used either in full soil mapping or freescan™ mode. All of these factors combine to make this system a tool that greatly increases the efficiency of tank bottom inspection.
