Due to the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and after consultation with its customers and partners, the JEC World team has announced its decision to postpone the new edition of the JEC World trade show, scheduled to take place from March 9 to 11, to the dates of June 1 to 3, 2021.
Faced with the growing concerns of its exhibitors and partners about the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the travel restrictions, containment and quarantine measures recently announced in many countries, the JEC World team has decided to study alternatives for the next edition of the show so that it can be held in optimal safety conditions in 2021.
JEC World exhibitors were invited to respond to a survey proposing three dates in order to choose the one that suited them best. A large majority of those polled expressed a preference for the dates of June 1-3, 2021.
"We sincerely regret having to make such a difficult decision. However, we will do our utmost, starting now, to offer the best JEC World experience to our customers. We look forward to welcoming the entire global composites industry back to Paris in June 2021."said Eric Pierrejean, CEO of JEC Group.
The leading international trade show for the composites sector, JEC World brings together all the players in the composites value chain and professionals from the application sectors, experts from the scientific and academic communities, associations and the media from over 112 countries.
JEC World is also pleased to introduce its new digital platform, JEC World Augmented. This online platform, which will be set up alongside the JEC World show, has been specially designed for participants who are unable to attend the show in person, but who wish to experience the event as if they were there.
"JEC World and its expanded version will bring together members of the global composites community and specialists to network with exhibitors, arrange virtual business meetings, take part in videoconferences, conferences and discover the latest innovations in the sector." said Adeline Larroque, EMEA Show and Events Manager. Now, more than ever, the global composites industry needs to come together to discuss today's challenges and tomorrow's solutions."
