In the wake of the government's stimulus plan, Global Industrie is setting up a bold, long-term program from January 2021: GI Booster de Relance. The aim: to unite industry players to boost France's industrial economic recovery, thanks to a set of complementary events designed by the organizers in a coherent manner. The result of this initiative: the rescheduling of Global Industrie Lyon, from September 7 to 10, 2021, at Eurexpo.
"Global Industrie was created to defend our country's industrial excellence. The current health crisis is an opportunity for Global Industrie to reinvent itself to better prepare for the future. More than ever, we are determined to fulfill our mission as a business facilitator, and to support the entire industry as best we can during this delicate period. Today, Global Industrie is no longer just an annual event, but a series of complementary events designed to support the French industry's long-term recovery program. To ensure the continuity of this project, we have not hesitated to postpone Global Industrie Lyon 2021 from March to September.says Sébastien Gillet, Show Manager.
Right out of the gate, Global Industrie innovated by offering the show's first digital event, Global Industrie Connect. Today, in line with this transformation, the GI Booster de Relance program inaugurates five major business-accelerating events, corresponding to five key objectives: to inspire, to meet, to prepare, to concretize and to support.
1. Get inspired with GI 360
Launched at the beginning of 2021, GI360 is a bimonthly program that will provide a 360° overview of the industry, in a program centered around three chapters:
- an economic update, to anticipate the economic and industrial recovery and plan launches and production;
- a debate on a topical technical issue to identify the technologies best suited to your needs;
- and a 360° virtual visit to a manufacturer to showcase the factories of the future and identify new partners.
The dates and themes for the first GI360s have already been set: relocation (February 9, 2021), 5G (May 4, 2021), ecological transition (July 22, 2021).
2. Meet with GI Business Meetings
An offshoot of the business meetings held at the show, GI Business Meetings are a series of qualitative "one-to-one" meetings between exhibitors and a selection of Global Industrie's core target decision-makers. Whether physical or digital, they are held on a given theme and in a predefined city.
GI Business Meetings are held throughout France, making it even easier to bring together customers and suppliers. The theme of each event ensures fruitful exchanges and the realization of business projects.
The scheduled dates for GI Business Meetings are: March 9, 2021, May 25, 2021, December 7, 2021 and February 2022. The themes and venues will be announced shortly.
3. Preparing with GI Preview
A 100 % digital event to help exhibitors and visitors prepare for the show, GI Preview takes the form of :
- Exhibitor webinars: time to present products, services or solutions, promote your company before the show, preview new products;
- roundtables with institutions, partners and industry pioneers;
- cats to chat live, network with interested prospects and set up face-to-face meetings during the show.
Next event: June 22 and 23, 2021. Next edition: spring 2022
4. Make it happen with Global Industrie
Because the business world needs to get together to share, build, make contacts and bring projects to fruition, nothing can replace the "physical" meeting and the pleasure of talking to a prospect or signing a contract at a trade show.
The only major industrial event of its kind in France, Global Industrie brings together the entire industrial ecosystem, from start-ups to major groups, including subcontractors, incubators, manufacturers of equipment and industrial solutions... as well as the entire value chain (R&D, design, production, maintenance, training services...) and all user markets (transport, energy, agri-food, chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering...).
The fact that this showcase of innovation alternates between France's two largest metropolises, in even-numbered years in Paris and odd-numbered years in Lyon, provides a real complementarity.
In 2021, the world's technological offering will continue to be reorganized for greater visibility around 15 universes: Assembly, mounting, industrial fasteners - Electronics - Additive & 3D manufacturing - Finishing and materials processing - Forging & casting - Materials - Measurement, control, vision - Plastics, rubber, composites - Regions and countries - Robotics - Services and company facilities - Smart Tech - Environmental solutions - Sheet metal work, metal forming, welding - Machining and material removal.
The next editions are Global Industrie Lyon, from September 7 to 10, 2021, at Eurexpo Lyon, and Global Industrie Paris, in spring 2022, Parc des Expositions de Villepinte.
5. Support with Industrie Online
Industrie Online provides users with access to 3,000 supplier files for a complete and unique offering, a simplified request-for-quote system with immediate contact, and a blog with unprecedented content on market news. This marketplace, accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supports project development and enables users to meet new players all year round.
Operational from April 20, 2021, www.industrie-online.com will facilitate contact between suppliers and buyers thanks to a comprehensive search engine (buyers) and a statistical tool for tracking performance (suppliers).
"I would like to thank the organizers for their decision to postpone rather than cancel Global Industrie [...]. This show, which for two years has been France's biggest industrial show, must go ahead [...]. French industry, to which I attach so much importance, is waiting for it.said Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of the Economy, Finance and Economic Recovery.
