Félix Informatique, a specialist software publisher, has announced the addition of a new module for optimizing calibration intervals to its Deca measuring instrument fleet management software, based on the Opperet (OPtimisation des PERiodicité d'Etalonnage) method.
Today, the vast majority of verified instruments are put straight back into service. By applying this method, we simply arrive at a realistic periodicity, based on usage, which is generally longer than that previously applied, and leads to greater availability of measuring instruments.
This enables companies to reduce internal and external calibration costs. With the application of the method, these savings can reach over 30 % on the calibration budget (CFM figure).
In order to achieve this objective, the module's functionalities are :
- Simple definition of the perimeters of the instruments to be studied, thanks to bulk import functions, the possibility of carrying out several studies in parallel, calculation even with equipment having a periodicity already determined by a method.
- Parameterization of rating criteria and their weighting in terms of risk, based on the method's criteria. These criteria can be customized.
- Instrument rating for each criterion. Possibility of mass rating over a given perimeter.
- Graphs for analyzing the distribution of instruments according to criteria and scores
- Generation of results with analysis of study elements, as well as current and "real" periodicities calculated using this method.
- Application of the optimized periodicity and updating of the next verification date in the life sheet, with full traceability in the software audit trail.
- Calculation of averages and standard deviations for each criterion within the scope of the study, and publication of a study report for each instrument (which can be customized according to your needs).
The aim of this Deca software module is to provide a dedicated interface and intuitive ergonomics to guide the user in applying the Opperet method and benefiting from its advantages.
