Datalogic, positioned in the automatic data capture and industrial automation markets, presents its new WebSentinel Plus Investigator software suite.
This software enhances the functionality of the WebSentinel Plus platform. It offers three key benefits for companies in the manufacturing, transport & logistics and retail sectors, to maximize barcode read rates and minimize error and non-read rates.
First of all, the Investigator collects data reliably. "Indeed, users can rely on the seamless capability of WebSentinel Plus Investigator to make the most of digitized images by processing them completely transparently. In terms of reliability, the software suite is based on Datalogic's solid experience, with over 20 years' success in image capture and decoding. The Investigator has been developed and operates on the same basis as WebSentinel Plus (reports, dashboards, etc.), making it easy for customers already familiar with the interface to learn and get to grips with it. Datalogic also offers all the hardware required for optimal use of Investigator. It should also be noted that the Investigator is compatible and works with the user's own hardware solutions (Linux, Windows® O.S. or Windows Server)".the company says.
Another highlight is the Investigator's analysis of the root cause of "non-reading". The platform records all the data from the scanned images and allows them to be aggregated. Highly sophisticated vision algorithms and artificial intelligence quickly and reliably identify the main causes of "non-reading" (damaged label, printing problem, label misplaced, label not present). Thanks to this feedback, customers can immediately take corrective action to prevent "non-reads" recurring in the future. The fact that all analysis activities are carried out automatically by the Investigator saves between 2 and 16 working hours per day - 16 in the case of large production sites, which represents around 500 to 4,200 hours on an annual basis, or around €63,000 in savings per year.
Finally, the Investigator prevents problems before they become critical. They can identify critical situations and potentially problematic conditions at an early stage, before they lead to a significant increase in "non-read" rates. WebSentinel Plus Investigator monitors the information flow associated with print quality, and creates reports on barcode quality trends. Users can benefit from a simple, fully automated way of keeping track of this information to improve productivity.
