Carl Berger-Levrault, European publisher in operations and maintenance management (OMM), has enhanced its digital twin for maintenance and operations professionals with the new BL.VIZ multi-scale viewer.
Carl Berger-Levraut launches a complete digital platform for equipment and asset management with its new BIM - CIM offering. This offer follows on from the management functionalities provided by Carl Source software, such as cartography through GIS integration or DWG plans, or the "real-time" dimension thanks to objects connected to artificial intelligence, BIM - to meet the expectations of the digital twin.
An open GEM BIM-CIM solution
Integrated into its Carl Source software, the BL.VIZ 3D viewer visualizes and synchronizes model data (attribute and 3D) for maintenance use. Among its strengths, it is based on a Open BIM (IFC, 3DTiles), making it easy to use with any modeling tool.
This offer covers real estate, infrastructure and networks.
There are many uses:
- Asset managers can optimize their business management thanks to the interaction of management data, 3D models and IoT data.
- Field technicians benefit from a better understanding of their environment (knowledge of network paths, pipes, virtual access to enclosed and secure areas, etc.), which helps them to carry out diagnostics.
The BL.VIZ solution is the fruit of work carried out in collaboration with the Berger-Levrault Group's innovation department and the Liris laboratory (Laboratoire d'Informatique en Image et Systèmes d'Information) in Lyon. It enhances an existing offering based on a number of partner products.
