Visiativ today announced the acquisition of German company MB CAD GmbH, a historical and independent distributor and integrator of Solidworks and 3DExperience software, based in southern Germany, Bavaria. This acquisition, which consolidates Visiativ's international development (27% of the activity outside France in 2021) already present in Germany through its consulting activity, allows the group to give its software activities a first position across the Rhine to conquer the market for German industrial SMEs and mid-caps.
Founded in 1992 by Monika and Peter Blumenstock, MB CAD is a value-added reseller (VAR) of Solidworks software and the 3DExperience platform and is the only independent player in German-speaking countries.
MB CAD has about thirty employees spread over the company's two locations in southern Germany: Bruckmühl, its headquarters in the south of Munich, and Schwaig bei Nümberg.
In addition to its comprehensive consulting services and first-class training offerings, MB CAD has built its solid reputation in the German market through its excellence in customer satisfaction. MB CAD has been recognized many times by Solidworks, receiving the "Highest Customer Satisfaction Europe" award and the "Elite Club 190" award for the highest rates of maintenance renewal.
Since 1992, MD CAD has supported more than 2,000 companies, both key account customers as well as many German SMEs and mid-caps from all types of industries (automotive, robotics, industrial equipment, electronics, etc.).
MB CAD achieved a turnover of around €8 million in 2021, accompanied by profitability in line with industry standards.
The acquisition of 100% of MB CAD's capital, which will be consolidated as of 1 June 2022, is financed entirely in cash.
Laurent Fiard, Chairman and CEO of Visiativ and Bertrand Sicot, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: " We both have known MB CAD and its founders for a long time, and we have been able to measure over these many years how much we share the same values and the same vision of our business in the service of innovation in industrial companies. They cement the foundations for the development of our software activities in Germany. With this acquisition, Visiativ consolidates its entry into the largest European industrial market well known for the strength of its SMEs and mid-caps, the famous Mittelstand. »
Peter Blumenstock and Monika Blumenstock, founding partners of MB CAD GmbH, comment:
" We warmly thank all our customers and the MB CAD team for the exceptional business relationship and working together over the past 30 years. We are happy to pass the baton to Visiativ to write the next chapter in the company's development. »
