NextMeasure breaks the codes of 3D metrology with the launch of a free universal software platform that puts the user experience first. Accessible to all, the platform is intended for 3D measurement and analysis from the simplest to the most complex, from the smallest to the largest. It uses measurement points and point clouds from a wide range of CAD file formats. The innovative 3D metrology software solution for SMIs
NextMeasure offers SMIs an innovative, universal, reliable and ergonomic portable metrology solution. The software, developed by the French company Metrologic Group – Sandvik Group, is the result of more than 40 years of expertise in 3D metrology. NextMeasure systematically offers free use of the basic and 3D analysis software, with download and use. On the occasion of the launch of the platform, the advanced metrology features of NextMeasure Plus version are also available free of charge for a full year.
Extremely fast and easy to use, NextMeasure is accessible to everyone: employees in charge of metrology, quality and also technical operators in production. The software is aimed at small industrial companies that produce unique parts or small series (up to 500 pieces), by removing or adding material (machining, prototyping, molding, stamping, sheet metal, foundry, plastic, additive manufacturing, etc.).

A universal software
With NextMeasure, the user connects very easily (Plug & Play configuration) and quickly to all portable measurement systems used in the company, regardless of their brand. This concerns measuring arms for small and medium-sized parts, 3D scanners for small parts or laser trackers or radar laser for large parts. With NextMeasure, no more training! In a single user environment, the employee quickly switches from one measurement system to another. He can even, with ease, evaluate articulated arms of different brands (for example), to make the right choice before investing.
Perform a complete analysis of the part and generate a report in a few clicks
Simply download the software for immediate use. With the basic version of the software (Free version), the user is able to perform a complete analysis of the part, i.e. compare the lengths, diameters and shapes with the theoretical plan, to determine whether the part is compliant or not. NextMeasure benefits from a proven architecture and compatibility with ISO/Asme reporting standards. It only takes a few minutes to get the measurements. In a few clicks, the user proceeds to acquire the data: import a CAD file (Step, Iges), point clouds and/or probing points, align the CAD file and the point cloud (different types of alignment including Autofit for automatic alignment), perform a scan filtering if necessary.
The user then performs the analysis. It has the possibility to create a "color mapping" (very useful for complex parts) and it evaluates GD&T measurements. The user can display all the important information (deviation, trend, etc.) for his analysis in the form of labels and of course, size, color, everything is customizable. All that remains is to edit the measurement report (email, Word, Excel) with the drag & drop system, simple and fast. With NextMeasure Plus, the user performs the measurements of the room himself
Simply connect NextMeasure Plus to the selected portable measuring device, retrieve probing data or scans to check the part. Without being an expert in metrology, the user is able to carry out measurement scenarios, from the simplest to the most complex. With the Leap frog function, it easily measures very large parts, especially for the automotive or aerospace sector. Flexible, NextMeasure Plus offers additional packages to meet the more specific needs of the user regarding in-depth part analysis, probing assistance, point cloud inspection, import of native CAD formats and export of point clouds. In addition to the free basic version, on the occasion of the launch of the platform, NextMeasure PLUS is available free of charge for one year.
A premium user experience
It is accompanied step by step, from the connection to the measuring device to the generation of a report, through tutorials available on the online platform. FAQ support is available, as well as a forum and thematic webinars. For any questions, a hotline service and an online chat complete its support in Plus version.
The design of NextMeasure, very refined, has been thought to make the use of the software extremely simple. The user even has the possibility to work offline, in Free mode, to do the 3D analysis for example.
