Daniel Seiler, Managing Director of IDS since 2015, has decided to leave the company after fourteen years. Having held various positions, he has made a significant contribution to the company's success in recent years, including the development of business in North America.
Jürgen Hartmann, founder and owner of the industrial camera manufacturer, will continue Daniel Seiler's main management duties from March 1, 2020, and will remain a member of the Management Board.
At the same time, Jan Hartmann, his eldest son, joined the IDS Board of Management as a representative of the family's second generation. In addition to his current duties at the recently founded subsidiary IDS Innovation GmbH, which includes the b39 Academy, Jan Hartmann is responsible for human resources, finance and IT.
Alexander Lewinsky, COO since 2018, has joined the extended management team and has power of attorney.
"We would like to thank Daniel Seiler for his excellent work, which he has always carried out with great commitment and conscientiousness. In particular, he has made a major contribution to the international development of our business. We regret his decision and wish him all the best in his personal and professional future, said Jürgen Hartmann. This rejuvenation of the IDS management team gives us great confidence in the future. Based on the positive order situation and the strong development of our international business, we look forward to this "vision year" with great optimism.
Since its foundation in 1997 as a two-person company, IDS has grown into an independent, ISO-certified family business with over 300 employees. Headquartered in Obersulm, Baden-Württemberg, IDS is both a development and production site. With subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, South Korea and the UK, as well as other representative offices in Europe, IDS has an international presence.
