Evolis and Symop join forces to become a leading industrial trade organization, actively defending industry and its professions in France.
On November 25, the Extraordinary General Meetings of Evolis (capital goods trade association) and Symop (production machinery and technology trade association) largely approved the creation of a new trade association. Jean-Claude Fayat, Chairman of the eponymous group, will become Chairman, while Fabien Vincentz, Chairman of Marposs France, will become First Vice-Chairman on January 1, 2022.
Federating players in the capital goods and production resources sector
This merger is the result of an intention to bring together all the players who contribute to the competitiveness and efficiency (productivity, environment, etc.) of French industry through the modernization of production facilities.
Evolis Symop represents suppliers of capital goods and machinery for industrial production in all industrial sectors: mechanical engineering and food processing, construction and infrastructure, water and energy, chemicals, paper and wood, packaging and recycling.
Greater representativeness
The attractiveness of industry, training, regulation, standardization, digitalization, productive investment and the modernization of France's industrial fabric are priority issues for our members, who play a leading role in the modernization and competitiveness of all industrial sectors.
"We also want to step up our focus on European regulatory issues, which are vital for our companies, says the organization. To achieve this, it is necessary to join forces to reach the critical size of our European neighbors. With 600 member companies, 82,000 employees and sales of nearly €19 billion, including €65 % in exports, Evolis Symop represents a solid, unified organization that is more representative of French and European authorities".
An agile, digital organization for the younger generation
They'll be the bosses of tomorrow, and their professional organization needs to be just like them: young entrepreneurs and their employees are looking for an active network, personalized services and flexibility. This is why Evolis Symop has created a new digital platform, a place of convergence conducive to numerous business opportunities and exchanges between members. Thanks to this new collaborative tool, Evolis Symop intends to strengthen its proximity to its members in a logic of collective and individual services.
Evolis Symop is a member of the FIM and a founding member of the new strategic contract for the industry of the future (S-I-F) led by the AIF.
