To accelerate cooperation between startups and companies in the aerospace industry, Gifas is launching the StartAir club.
At the heart of a high-tech industry of excellence federated by Gifas (Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales), the StartAir club will bring together and connect startups and industrial companies - SMEs, ETIs, major systems integrators and prime contractors.
Combining the talents of new entrants and established players, StartAir will provide the industry with new assets to meet the challenges of the aeronautics and space industries in terms of innovation, products, uses and services.
StartAir is also committed to consolidating French and European sovereignty by helping its startups leverage their technological innovations, access new markets and become the champions of tomorrow.
Within StartAir, young structures will benefit from experience sharing and feedback, as well as help, support and advice to help them develop. The ecosystem of Gifas members will be fully open to them, to the benefit of their growth.
In practical terms, Gifas will be supporting StartAir startups through a sponsorship program. The industrial sponsors will share their knowledge of institutional, industrial and scientific mechanisms and players. These startups will benefit from the Group's capacity to influence and build institutional relations with players in the aeronautics, defense and space sectors.
Startups hosted by StartAir will be members of Gifas. They will thus be able to take part in the Group's many activities, and benefit from the analyses of its national, European and international experts. They will also have access to industry events, notably international trade shows where Gifas represents and federates the French aerospace industry, or during missions abroad. They will also have access to information and collaboration tools shared by all Gifas members.
" I'm delighted that Gifas has launched the StartAir club. The innovation of startups and emerging companies, combined with the industrial power of Gifas players, is the winning formula for meeting the aerospace challenges of tomorrow. "said Guillaume Faury, Chairman of Gifas.
" By welcoming startups to StartAir, Gifas is true to its vocation of helping and supporting these innovative young players. There's no doubt that the energy, audacity and creativity of these young members will also make a major contribution to our aerospace industry. "said Philippe Gautier, President of Hemeria, a member of the Gifas Aerospace and Defense Equipment Group (GEAD).
