In order to accelerate cooperation between startups and companies in the aeronautics and space sector, Gifas is launching the StartAir club.
At the heart of a high-tech and excellent sector federated by Gifas (Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales), the StartAir club will bring together and connect startups and industrial companies – SMEs, mid-caps, large systems and prime contractors.
Combining the talents of new entrants and existing players, StartAir will bring to the sector new assets to meet the challenges of the aeronautics and space industries in terms of innovation, products, and uses and services.
StartAir will also focus on consolidating French and European sovereignty by helping its startups to promote their technological innovations, access new markets, and become the champions of tomorrow.
Within StartAir, young structures will benefit from sharing and feedback, help, support and advice to develop. The ecosystem of Gifas members will be fully open to them for the benefit of their growth.
Very concretely, Gifas will support startups, members of StartAir, through a sponsorship process. The sponsoring industrialists will share their knowledge of institutional, industrial or scientific mechanisms and actors. These startups will benefit from the Group's capacity for influence and institutional relations with aeronautics, defence and space stakeholders.
The startups hosted within StartAir will be members of Gifas. They will thus participate in the many works of the Grouping, will benefit from the analyses of its experts at national, European and international level. They will also have access to industry events, including international trade shows where Gifas represents and federates the French aeronautics and space industry, or during missions abroad. They will also have access to information and collaboration tools shared between all Gifas members.
" I am delighted with the launch by Gifas of the StartAir club. The innovation of startups, emerging companies, combined with the industrial power of the Group's players, is the winning formula to meet the aeronautical and space challenges of tomorrow. " said Guillaume Faury, president of Gifas.
" By welcoming startups within StartAir, Gifas, true to its vocation, helps and supports these young innovative players. There is no doubt that the energy, audacity and creativity of these young members will also bring a lot to our aeronautics and space industry. " said Philippe Gautier, President of Hemeria, a member of gifas' Aeronautical and Defence Equipment Group (GEAD).
