Nathalie Ducombeau, Quality Director at Airbus, received the national "La Tribune Women's Award" in the "Woman Manager of the Year" category.
The "Woman Manager of the Year" award aims to recognize a woman who leads teams, contributing every day to her company's success, strategy and results, and who integrates the culture of gender equality and diversity in general into her actions. Nathalie Ducombeau joined Airbus in early 2008 as Director of Aerostructures for the A400M military aircraft program. Since October 2012, she has been Director of Quality at Airbus, a position in which she is responsible for defining and deploying the quality management system, its standards, procedures and tools.
She supervises nearly 3,400 people at all Airbus sites. She previously held the position of A350 XWB Operations Director, with responsibility for coordinating the start-up of A350 XWB production at the company's ten European plants. I am delighted that Nathalie Ducombeau has been named Woman Manager of the Year," said Fabrice Brégier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus. Nathalie is a success story that proves that women can also develop their careers in an industrial sector that is no longer reserved for men alone. Her talent for federating and mobilizing teams and her dynamism are an example to others. Her commitment and passion are one of the keys to Airbus' success," added Fabrice Brégier.
