Trescal announces the acquisitions of LBT Testing and Calibration, Brussels (Belgium); C2M in Rouen (France); Metrology in Vitoria (Brazil). These acquisitions will bring additional sales of around 3 million euros to the Group.
Founded in 1992 in Louvain-la-Neuve, near Brussels, LBT provides Belac-accredited calibration services, both in the laboratory and on site, as well as validation services, to manufacturers in the life sciences sector. The company employs 16 people, and its technical skills cover climate, carbon dioxide incubator calibration, humidity and temperature. Roland Platteau, the company's managing director, will remain in place to ensure the integration and development of the business within the Trescal Group.
Metrology, based in Vitoria, is one of two private, accredited calibration laboratories in the state of Espirito Santo, and employs 8 people. The acquisition expands Trescal's technical and geographical coverage, and reinforces its leading position in the Brazilian metrology services market. Filippe Aderne Maia, who currently manages the company, will remain in his current position.
The 4-strong C2M team has joined the Trescal laboratory in Rouen, bringing its expertise in electricity, temperature, humidity and pressure, as well as its first-level repair know-how.
These are the 9e, 10e and 11e acquisitions since the takeover of Trescal by Omers, Trescal's main shareholder.
