After 30 years with Airbus, Christian Cornille will bring to the French group all his recognized industrial expertise and his knowledge of the aeronautics sector to promote this flagship of French industry internationally.
A graduate of the National School of Arts and Crafts (ENSAM), Christian Cornille began his career in aeronautics in 1988. He then headed various industrial units for 12 years, including the center of mechanical skills which produced rotors and gearboxes. transmission of Eurocopter, now Airbus Helicopters. In the early 2000s, he joined EADS Socata and quickly took over the industrial direction of the light aircraft manufacturer as well as the Aerostructures direction. In 2007, he took over the management of Airbus to participate in the Power 8 transformation program, in particular the project to overhaul the European industrial footprint of the aircraft manufacturer.
In 2009, Christian Cornille became the first Chairman of Aérolia, who has since become Stélia Aerospace. He contributed to the development of the company, which became a major player in aerostructures thanks to its international successes at Bombardier and Embraer. Christian Cornille returned to his first love in 2014 when he was appointed Executive Vice President of Airbus Helicopters, where he undertook a profound industrial transformation.
After 30 years with Airbus, Christian Cornille becomes president of Mecachrome, in Amboise.
