The new Wika monobloc with flange connection type IBF1 has been designed for applications in the process industry. The compact design incorporates a shut-off valve to separate the process from the instrument side.
According to the company, Wika is one of the few, if not the only manufacturer to offer the supply of hook-up sub-assemblies, i.e. measuring instruments mounted on monoblocks (or any other valves or manifolds), both types of component being produced by Wika.
Quality of the instrument and isolation device, quality of the assembly, safety of the leak test performed on 100 % assemblies: Wika intends to respond to users' concerns and offer immediate benefits for the installation, which boils down to mounting the sub-assembly on the process.
The one-piece construction and double seal (metal and plastic), tested to BS6755 / ISO 5208 leakage rate A, give this compact isolating device the highest possible level of safety. Its high-quality construction ensures easy handling, even at high process pressures. The IBF1 can be fitted with either a ball valve or a needle valve.
The new instrumentation valve completes the existing monobloc range, which includes the IBF2 (block & bleed) and IBF3 (double block & bleed) models.
All IBF models can also be fitted to level gauges and differential pressure instruments for level measurement.
