The MMS (Metrology & Monitoring Solutions) group brings together JRI (a long-standing player in the metrology sector) and Ciet Pharma (a company specializing in qualification, mapping, sterilization, metrology and cryogenics). Specializing in wireless solutions for traceability and monitoring of temperature and other physical parameters for the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare operators and the food industry, it is reorganizing its capital to accelerate its technological developments, and consolidate its position among the international leaders in the digitization of quality processes.
Pascal Vermeersch and the management team welcome IK Partners (IK Small Cap III Fund) as a new partner, taking over from Naxicap and Caisse d'Épargne Île-de-France Capital Investissement.
The entire value chain for continuous quality control
Designed to monitor the cold chain and other environmental parameters (humidity, pressure, CO2, particle counts, etc.) during the production, storage and transport phases of sensitive products, JRI's IoT solutions exploit several radio technologies guaranteeing reliability, precision and innovation.
The JRI-Nano-Spy and JRI-LoRa-Spy ranges of connected sensors interface with the JRI-MySirius measurement monitoring software platform, available on customer servers or in SaaS mode. This provides monitoring and regulatory compliance, secure data archiving and customizable alert management. JRI-MySirius offers software modules tailored to the uses and regulatory constraints of each segment of the healthcare (pharmaceutical, biology, logistics) and food safety sectors.
With the acquisition of Naocom in 2020, JRI has strengthened and expanded its portfolio of solutions for road transport. The integration of new technologies has enabled the development of the NanoCell communication beacon in powered and autonomous versions, and compatibility with JRI-Nano-Spy connected sensors featuring long autonomy and memory capacity.
Upstream services (validation, mapping, metrological certification, consulting, etc.) and downstream services (installation, qualification, maintenance, calibration and metrological adjustment, etc.) are provided in particular by the team of experts at Ciet Pharma, acquired in 2017, and specialized in qualification and metrology services for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
The group employs nearly 140 people and aims to achieve sales of over €30 million in 2023, with strong international growth (over 50 % of its business) supported by its offices in the United States and Asia.
A new step to accelerate development and internationalization
Backed by a technological partnership with the world leader in diagnostics in vitro and its range of solutions, JRI has enjoyed a string of successes, not only in all sectors of the healthcare industry, but also in commercial catering and food distribution. The MMS Group is looking for partners, either in the form of a takeover-merger within the Group, or in the form of enhanced commercial and/or technological cooperation, with the dual aim of strengthening its international presence to better serve its customers (in addition to its current locations in the United States, Mexico, Malaysia and China) and pursuing its technological innovations.
In addition to designing reliable and optimized solutions for monitoring healthcare and food products throughout the production/processing, storage and transport chain, MMS aims to meet the challenges of tomorrow by :
- Providing solutions for all types of transport and covering the entire cold chain;
- Extend the digitization of manual tasks specific to each business and strengthen its partnerships with integrators building agnostic solutions for their customers;
- Propose financial solutions adapted to the constraints of its users (purchase, provision, rental, etc.);
- Extend its service offering to take on tasks currently handled by its customers.

"
The MMS Group was created in 2015 by Pascal Vermeersch to take over JRI, a historic player in metrology, in association with Éric Cartalas (DGA Commerce and Operations) and André Grezel (Technical Director), then Arnaud Daveau (DAF-DRH), Rémi Moreau (Quality-Metrology and Support Director), Natalie De Saeger (International Activities Director), Serge Nkemi (Ciet Pharma Director) and a dozen other managers. IK Partners, via its IK Small Cap III Fund, becomes a reference shareholder of the Group alongside Pascal Vermeersch and the management team.
