Babbco receives ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for its UV-A radiometer calibration services

A subsidiary of the Socomore group, a French global player specializing in surface preparation, treatment, protection and coatings, Babbco is a specialist in NDT by penetrant testing and magnetic particle inspection, also offering ultrasonic solutions and a wide range of lighting solutions.

For many years, the company has been providing metrological services for its range of radio-photometers for the NDT and medical markets. In this context, it has obtained NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for its UV-A radiometer calibration services. With this accreditation, we have extended our range of services and consolidated our technical expertise in this field.

This Babbco laboratory entity is accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (Cofrac) for its ability to measure UV-A 365nm radiation. Cofrac issued Babbco with Cofrac accreditation number 2-7199 on July 13, 2023, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 17025, which combines ISO 9002 quality system requirements with ISO 10012 metrology technical requirements to assess the competence and impartiality of laboratories.

To obtain this accreditation, Babbco was audited to evaluate its quality systems applied to customer service, customer support, logistics and, above all, to the metrology department on its brand-new UV-A test bench, recently put into operation.
