Available in two versions, for flow measurement on free surface flows (UF831CO) and on loaded pipes (UF831L).
The UF831 flowmeter series is a new generation of devices dedicated to flow measurement. They benefit from the exclusive Ultraflux principle of ultrasonic measurement by transit time difference. This technology guarantees accurate, reliable and stable results, even under extreme measurement conditions. The UF831 series achieves velocity measurement accuracy of less than + or - 0.5%, repeatability of the order of 0.2% and typical flow calculation accuracy of 0.5% to 5%, depending on the application and number of chords.
This transit time measurement system becomes indispensable when, for example, knowledge of the fluid level alone is not sufficient to determine its flow rate, as is the case in free-surface flow regimes such as canals, rivers, etc. In such cases, the flow rate is obtained by integrating the hydraulic profile. The UF831CO allows flow to be obtained by integrating the hydraulic profile of 2 to 8 velocity chords, which can be distributed over 2 channels, with velocity integrated on each chord. It is also possible to integrate an external speed measurement as an external string. The maximum channel width is up to 300 m, depending on the probe, or even more on request.
The flowmeter is insensitive to downstream clogging and can be loaded. It offers up to 4 level inputs. The UF831CO is used for flow measurement in wastewater and stormwater networks, sewage treatment plants, irrigation canals and rivers.
Using dual DSP technology, the flowmeter is available in a UF831L version dedicated to flow measurement on loaded pipes, ideal for measuring echoes in difficult conditions. It can measure up to 8 velocity profiles on a single pipe or 2 pipes, with a maximum diameter of 10 meters. This version also features 10 input/output modules, a 270,000-variable data logger and an optional communication module enabling dialog with most common protocols (Ethernet, etc.).
Among other things, this high-tech device enables universal flow measurement on all types of liquid and gaseous fluids using external or intrusive probes in drinking water and wastewater networks, hydroelectric dams and nuclear power plants. The UF831 series operates with static, maintenance-free probes, and the devices require no hydraulic calibration. They can be managed remotely, with the converter and software offering user-friendly operation. Bi-directional measurement is possible with all flowmeters, which can be adapted to any cross-section thanks to their wide choice of probes and supports. They feature 316L stainless steel housings, plug-in connectors, IP67 protection and operate over a temperature range of -25°C/+50°C. They can be used in Ex zones.
