A new president was just elected at the general meeting of the SNCT (Syndicat national de la Chaudronnerie, Tuyauterie et Maintenance industrielle) on Friday, June 1, 2012: François Rieffel
The 58-year-old company director was unanimously elected 16th President of the SNCT by its Board of Directors, minus one vote. Director of ACM (Ateliers chaudronnés de Monplaisir), he has spent his entire career in the boilermaking-piping industry. He began his career with Audincourt Rhône-Alpes, a subsidiary of Boccard. He then joined ACM, where he has worked for 30 years. François Rieffel was initially recruited in the technical department, but has since risen through the ranks to become General Manager. He is also General Manager of ACR (Ateliers de Chaudronnerie des Roches).
He knows the SNCT very well, having been Chairman of the Technical Committee for six years and Chairman of the South-East Regional Section for 9 years. From 2008 until his election, François Rieffel was also Chairman of the SNCT Ethics Committee.
A man of commitment, François Rieffel is actively involved in the defense of the boilermaking, pipefitting and industrial maintenance trades. He will take up his seat as SNCT Chairman on September 26, 2012, for a three-year term, renewable once.
