"Mettler-Toledo SAS plans to sell its truck weighbridge business": this plan dates back a few months, and the press release announcing it (dated June) can be found on the... Arpege Master K website. The French company has announced that it is interested in taking over this activity. Here's the rest of the press release:
"The transaction would involve the manufacture, sale, installation and after-sales service of truck weighbridges. Should the transaction go ahead, each company would continue to develop and market its own load cell technologies. The two companies have entered into exclusive negotiations concerning this project.
"METTLER TOLEDO, a world leader in weighing, analysis and service solutions for laboratories, industry and commerce, is a key player in the French truck bridge market, and wishes to refocus on its technologies in the form of Products, Solutions and Associated Services, in line with its other industrial activities.
"Fabrice Dejoux, President of Mettler-Toledo SAS, is delighted with this proposed sale ARPEGE MASTER-K, a French manufacturer of industrial weighing solutions, sees this proposed acquisition as part of its strategy to strengthen its offering, in synergy with the launch of new indicators.
"Frédéric Fossi, Chairman of ARPEGE MASTER-K, is delighted with this project, which will enable his group to consolidate its position as market leader in truck weighbridges in France.
