Sustained external growth does not mean that the Trescal Group is neglecting its technological base. For example, the group recently announced a series of investments designed to strengthen its technical expertise and meet the needs of a metrology market which is evolving and requires ever greater automation to offer competitive solutions. Its Aix-en-Provence laboratory, for example, has just significantly reinforced its force calibration resources. It has acquired two Syntec II and Syntris tensile and compression testing machines from 3R, with respective measurement ranges of up to 50 kN and 600 kN, for a total investment of €260,000. Measurement ranges and uncertainties are now among the best on the French market. The project, supported by the company's technical department, included significant integration phases in terms of fine-tuning, optimization of mounting solutions and mechanical fixtures, training and interfacing with the Trescal Lab Manager (TLM) software package.
The company's investment policy has also recently led to the purchase of HBM accelerometer benches for its Paris site, IAC thread calibration and Stahlwille robotized systems for its UK laboratories, and a liquid flowmeter bench for the Vendôme branch.
In addition to its investments, Trescal is keen to acquire technical expertise, and to this end is forging closer links with manufacturers worldwide. The Group has announced a partnership with Canada's Guildline Instruments (calibration equipment in the DC domain, low electrical frequency), which has chosen Trescal to be its technical partner since 1 January.er Trescal will be Guildline's preferred service provider in Europe and Africa. Trescal will perform calibration and repair services on Guildline instruments in accordance with internal procedures, accreditation requirements and international standards. " This agreement enables both companies to provide their customers with the best calibration and repair services in the world "explains Richard Timmons, p. Eng. President, Canada. " This new partnership with one of the benchmark manufacturers of electrical metrology testifies to the excellence of our laboratories and their ability to provide top-level service for Guildline products. "Francis Richard, CTO of Trescal.
More recently, an agreement between Brazilian Presys was signed on December 1.er April to provide calibration and maintenance services on a wide range of equipment, such as pressure and temperature calibrators, to customers in Europe, North America and Asia. In France, the Metz and Toulouse agencies are involved in this agreement. " Providing a one-stop-shop offer of calibration and repair services to our international customers is a prerequisite for successful and sustainable growth. "says Marc Vantournhoudt, International Sales Manager, Presys Instrumentos e Sistemas (Brazil). " Thanks to our international network of laboratories, we are able to meet Presys' expectations, offering our customers unique geographical coverage and high-quality service based on recognized expertise. "continues Trescal.
In addition to investments in equipment and partnerships designed to strengthen in-house skills, Trescal is also committed to developing its relationships with national metrology laboratories such as LNE and NPL in particular, " to stay ahead of the pack "says Francis Richard. This enables him to keep abreast of fundamental developments and technological innovations in metrology, and to participate in their dissemination and implementation in laboratories.
