Thanks to the advanced illumination and focusing functions and performance of its VHX-6000 digital microscope, Keyence further simplifies and enhances its customers' part analysis capabilities.
Keyence's VHX series of digital microscopes is already renowned for its high performance: depth of field, sharpness, wide observation angle, image pointing, motorized stage, 3D measurements, high magnification (5-5000x), simple calibration mode...
With the VHX-6000, Keyence brings even more innovations to the market: multi-angle illumination, total elimination of reflections on the observed surface, exceptionally fast focal length adjustment, automated contamination analysis (compliant with ISO 16232 standard for cleanliness testing of automotive components and sub-assemblies), metal grain analysis, 100mm x 10 0mm moving stage...
Great depth of field
An undeniable advantage is the large depth of field, which makes it considerably easier to observe small parts. Thanks to the large depth of field, even samples with irregular surfaces can be measured efficiently and reliably (enabling contamination analysis in compliance with ISO 16232, for example). In fact, the lens, camera and image processing engine are designed to offer an optimum ratio between depth of field, resolution and brightness.
Control repeatability
Lens tilt and stage rotation have no influence on the field of view. For the operator, this means intuitive observation of the target from all angles. In addition, there's no need to move the target, resulting in high reproducibility.
Observation settings, such as magnification and lighting method, can be saved with the image. In this way, the user can capture new images under the same conditions as an existing image and directly create analysis reports, containing the information required in addition to the images.
For reliable 2D and 3D measurements, the use of various information (color, contrast and height) enables measurements to be taken, without variation between users, and at any position on the image. Measurement results can be saved on the image or exported in CSV format for later analysis.
Multi-angle lighting
Users are well aware that lighting is one of the most important elements in microscopy (it determines what can be observed and under what conditions). Thanks to the multiple illumination option, users can obtain the ideal light at the touch of a button.
What's more, the compact design of the double zoom lens, combined with the flexibility of the free-angle support (stage), makes it easy to observe the sample at any angle and magnification.
3D surface visualization
One of the advantages of 3D images is that they contain height data at any point on the target, enabling measurement of the actual three-dimensional shape of the part to be inspected. Once the 3D image has been saved, a new measurement can be taken at any time.
Designed by Keyence engineers with simplicity of use, speed and repeatability of measurement in mind, the VHX-6000 series digital microscope enables users to view, capture and measure parts with a single instrument, with unrivalled simplicity and repeatability.
