Following the 2017 edition of the Cmoi-Fluvisu symposium in Le Mans on March 20-24, the Cmoi and Fluvisu clubs of the SFO announced their merger to form a new and unique "Optical Diagnostics and Photonics" club, affiliated with the SFO.
The mission of this new club is to promote, in an appropriate and friendly manner, the exchange of scientific and technical knowledge between research and industry in order to facilitate applications in all areas where optical and photonic diagnostics are or can be concerned. These areas concern the development of new methods or the optimization of existing methods and in the development of all application areas. The aspects related to the experimental validation by optical means and by numerical models is naturally a theme of interest. The Optical and Photonic Diagnostics Club covers a wide transdisciplinary field where optics and photonics are combined with materials science, acoustics, solid and fluid mechanics, biology, chemistry, electronics and computer science to push back the limits of knowledge or to propose industrial solutions at the heart of innovation and new digital technologies.
The next club conference will be held in conjunction with Optique 2018 in Toulouse from July 3-6, 2018.
