The Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais (LNE) and the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) signed a collaboration agreement at the CCI Paris Ile de France. This agreement will enable French and Quebec companies to benefit from CRIQ and LNE export resources and expertise.
Canadian companies wishing to export their products to European Union countries, and European companies wishing to export to Canada, need to be constantly aware of the rules and procedures surrounding the export of their products. LNE and CRIQ are renewing their commitment to assisting companies in the process of accepting products for export to their respective territories.
In concrete terms, this agreement will involve testing against European standards (CE marking or other more specific product-related standards), as well as training and technical assistance for French and Quebec companies.
CRIQ and LNE share a common mission, know-how and culture, in the service of industry. They maintain close ties with key economic development partners, research centers and industry associations. All this puts them at the heart of companies' real innovation needs, particularly when it comes to exporting.
The signing of this agreement is part of the dynamics of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which aims to facilitate exports between Canada and the European Union.
