The Zeiss Xenos measuring machine lends itself to applications in all fields with the most demanding precision requirements in the metrology room, from aerospace to the grinding of technical parts. This top-of-the-range machine combines the highest precision technically achievable with a useful measuring volume approaching one cubic meter.
Microrectif: a long-standing Zeiss customer at the forefront of innovation
A leader in ultra-high-precision machining and grinding, this 40-strong SME is keen to anticipate market trends, and to do so has made its mark by investing in the world's most precise three-dimensional machine: the Zeiss Xenos. The head of Microrectif and Micromec, Mr Chatain, advocates perpetual innovation in order to be at the forefront of the grinding, machining, turning-milling and metrology markets. Microrectif has already acquired five machines from the brand before confirming its loyalty by initiating, in May 2017, its investment project on the Zeiss Xenos machine and a new state-of-the-art laboratory.
This acquisition is a major first in France, and provides French industry with an exceptional coordinate measuring machine.
The machine is due to be inaugurated at Microrectif's Saint-Étienne facility in the first quarter of 2019.
