Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is launching new high-quality mandrels to optimize the measurement of cylindrical and revolution parts, one of the most common measuring tasks with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
Hexagon's Swift-Fix chucks are designed to secure workpieces with three or six jaws to ensure optimum accessibility of those parts.
Self-centering, repeatable, high-precision Swift-Fix mandrels apply even forces across all jaws and help users achieve the highest levels of measurement accuracy and quality. The large, easy-to-operate adjustment range enables fast mounting of workpieces of different diameters. Depending on the application, parts can be wedged at inside or outside diameter.
All three-jaw chucks contain inner and outer fasteners to provide the best possible positioning in a variety of applications. Six-jaw chucks have different locating and stop pins, which allow flexible adaptation to varying applications.
Swift-Fix chucks are made of stainless steel or aluminum and have an Altef coating, which makes them highly resistant to corrosion, wear and scratches. In addition, all fixing jaws are vacuum hardened and polished. Characterized by carefully chosen materials and high quality standards, all chucks are easy to maintain and maintain their high level of precision and repeatability for a long time.
Flexible mounting plates allow the Swift-Fix chucks to be installed directly on the machine bed. In addition, all available mandrels are compatible with Hexagon's Swift-Fix baseplates and Leitz turntables.
