Beamex has taken a major step in the development of Logical, a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) software for performing calibrations and monitoring industrial metrology. The latest version of Logical has new functionalities for managing accounts and users, creating a plant structure and the instruments to be calibrated, managing standards and storing calibration results.
“Logical is more than ever a mobile and field calibration solution thanks to documenting calibrators such as the Beamex MC2, MC4, MC6, MC6-Ex, MC6 Workstation or the all new MC6-T temperature calibrator. For customers who want to use Logical with their stallions, Logical also works with the bMobile smartphone and tablet app. Beamex has been developing and designing calibration equipment for over 40 years and metrology software for over 20 years; Beamex Logical is the latest generation of our software ” , describes Antti Mäkynen, Product Manager.
“To start using Logical, all you need to do is go to the Logical site and register there. After signing up, you will be able to select your subscription, purchase calibration credits, and start working in a real pay-as-you-go environment. Logical subscriptions have been designed to offer a scalable cost, in particular with very low monthly fees allowing smaller companies to benefit from a fully digitalized industrial metrology solution ” , adds Jonas Heinola, Logical sales manager.
Cloud Logical communicates with calibrators and tablets allowing movement between “online” and “offline” environments, the calibration process is then fully digital even in areas without internet access. Logical uses webservice technology allowing any device connected to the Internet to configure procedures and consult calibration data. Logical is compatible with most internet browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari. Logical will initially be available with an English user interface, other languages will be available later in 2020.
“We are proud and excited to bring revolutionary technology to market that will bring tremendous benefit to customers who today use pencil and paper or a manual process for their calibrations. Those who want to take a first step towards the digitalization of their industrial metrology can do so easily and economically with Logical ” , says Jan-Henrik Svensson, CEO of the Beamex group.
Beamex also continues to develop its CMX industrial metrology software: “an excellent choice for the most regulated industries , ” according to the company.
